There has been a lot of noise about the excitement level surrounding Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in the Veep spot on the McCain ticket. But hat noise has not translated into increased voter registration, as the coverage in the R-J this morning shows.
Dems still lead across the board, and are making inroads in places that seemed impossible to make inroads: the area outside of Clark county that is a GOP treasure. At least it used to be a GOP treasure.
You can cue the hate mail from the GOP women's groups now, but the registration numbers don't lie.

Say "No" to Bumps
I don't know if you see any more wild swings in the polls in Nevada as in my own Zeke Polling process, it looks like people are locked into their decision.
Basically, if you had initially considered voting for a ticket that includes a vice presidential candidate that believes the dinosaurs were put in the ground by Jesus to "test our faith", then no amount of "facts" are to change your closed mind.
The only voters still "undecided", are people that would like to keep their privacy(for some reason) and are not telling callers their true beliefs.
Palin had no effect in Nevada because our status as an early caucus state polarized the voter base to the extent that this thing was over in May.
