Little love for facebook

While most U.S. House candidates in Nevada have dipped their toes into the world of online social networking, none seem to be taking the medium too seriously yet. And that may explain the generally tepid response from their supporters on Facebook.com.

In the 1st Congressional District, U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkley's (D-Las Vegas) group has just 45 supporters. Incumbent U.S. Rep. Dean Heller (R-Carson City) in the 2nd has 77 supporters, while his opponent Jill Derby (D) has 61. In the more competitive 3rd Congressional District, U.S. Rep. Jon Porter (R-Henderson) leads the pack with 90 supporters. His challenger, Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus (D-Las Vegas), has only 58.

None of these candidates features a link to Facebook on their campaign websites.
