LAS VEGAS - EMILY's list, one of the nation's largest grassroots fundraising organizations, today announced their endorsement of Democratic state Sen. Dina Titus (D-Las Vegas) in the 3rd Congressional District. Titus's race against incumbent U.S. Rep. Jon Porter (R-Boulder City) is considered one of the closest in the country.
With the endorsement, Titus gains access to EMILY's List's more than 100,000 members, all committed to financially aiding the election of Democratic women. Not only does the list contribute PAC money to candidates and feature them on their Web site, but also sends frequent e-mails to members urging them to contribute.
This aid for Titus comes on top of a recent formal endorsement by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which has also committed to fundraising for her.

Congratulations Senator Titus!!!
Senator Titus-
Im so glad to see you picking up all of these big national endorsements and gaining such support from the state Democratic Party. You have been such a great Senator on the state level- fighting to protect redrock, education and healthcare for children. I know most Nevadans realize what a mistake they made by not electing you Governor, but I think things (even bad ones) always happen for a reason. The people of CD3 really need to have a representative in Washington who represents them, not someone like Porter who only represents the special interests and Bush administration. I wish you the best of luck in November, you certainly have two votes here between my husband and I. Thanks again for all your continued hard work at all levels on behalf of the people of Nevada, your dedication is truly admired and appreciated.
