(LAS VEGAS, NV) - Nevadans will gather Wednesday morning to ask John McCain to "Walk the Walk" on supporting the troops, and to really support green energy that would create jobs here in Nevada.
McCain has proposed an energy plan that would do little for Nevada and would not affect prices at the pump for years to come. In contrast, Sen. Barack Obama has proposed a second round of stimulus checks to help Americans cope with high energy prices, plus he would invest in renewable energy that would create jobs in Nevada while cutting energy costs.
The Democratic Veterans and Military Families Caucus also will distribute information about how McCain has "Talked the Talk" on supporting the troops but has not "Walked the Walk." The Disabled American Veterans say McCain votes with them just 20 percent of the time.
