Dems wrap up delegate voting

RENO-After hours of process, Nevada Democrats have elected their 26 delegates to the Democratic National Convention, scheduled for Aug. 25-28 in Denver.  The delegates are broken down according to congressional district with an additional six elected at-large and three party leaders and elected officials.

From Congressional District 1, Obama delegates include Nevada Highway Patrolman Ray Pedraza, AIDS activist Gabrielle Keys and attorney Manita Rawat.  Clinton delegates include Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani, former Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce chairman Robert Gomez and IUPAT District Council 15 president Jack Mallory.

From Congressional District 2 in Washoe County, Obama delegates include Reno businesswoman Xiomara Rodriguez and Washoe County Democratic Treasurer Matt Dickson.  Clinton's delegate is state Treasurer Kate Marshall. 

Obama's rural delegate is former Elko mayoral candidate Lance Whitney. 

The two Clark County delegates from Congressional District 2 are Elliot Smalls for Obama and Edna Flores for Clinton.  Flores was a delegate to the DNC in 2004.

In Congressional District 3, Obama's delegates are Yvette Williams and Gibran Baydoun.  Clinton's delegates are Sheet Metal Workers organizer Randy Soltero and former state Democratic chairwoman Adriana Martinez.

The PLEO delegates are Assembly Speaker Barbara Buckley and Assemblyman Kelvin Atkinson for Obama and Clark County Commissioner Rory Reid for Clinton.

At-large delegates include Erica Norris, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony chairman Arlan Melendez and Michael Ginsburg.  Obama delegates are Vertis Manuel, Maria Veronica Frenkel, and Culinary Union president Geoconda Arguello Kline.

Democrats also elected one unpledged, add-on delegate, Rusty McAllister of the International Association of Firefighters.
