Don't expect Nevada's U.S. senators to be a presidential runningmate. In a survey of the U.S. Senate's membership not already running for president on whether they'd accept an offer to be vice president, The Hill newspaper found a variety of responses to the veepstakes question. Some were accompanied by laughs, others took the question seriously.
So, how did Democrat Harry Reid and Republican John Ensign respond?
Says Ensign: "It's so much a hypothetical it's not even worth answering."
Says Reid: "I'm looking forward to serving the people of Nevada and leading an expanded majority in the U.S. Senate well into the future."
I got a call from my cousin Wally in Colorado last night right as I was in the middle of heating up my Hungry-Man dinner.

Reid no, Ensign yes
Ah, I think there are 100 Senators actually.
Reid ain't even thinking about it and would be a bad choice.
Ensign probably is on the short list, would help bring in NV for the GOP, but NV is small potatos with only 5 Electoral votes. They'd bring him in 'cause he is a hard core conservative complete with all the selfish philosophys that the GOP has stood for, for decades. After he loses with McCain it will be easy for the Democrats to unelect him as all of his flaws will be exposed on a national level.
